Patricia and I married on August 24, 2002. She believes God's Word, and likes to golf, ski, scuba dive, and dance. We do all those things together.. Here's a picture of us.
I also love:
Helping people. One way I do this is with PC Mobile Help.
Working with tools. I spent three years renovating my house, more than doubling its value and making it a really fun place. That house is now a rental, and I live with Patricia.
Music. Jazz, Fusion, Rock, and lots of the newer avant-garde music you can hear at KEXP. Especially local artists like Critters Buggin, Tuatara, Sadhappy, Heather Duby, and more! I appreciate classical, and I occasionally go to the opera or the symphony. I take concert going seriously, and I'll make a point of going out to the Gorge and camp out for a couple of days to see a great group. I do not tolerate country, twang, hillbilly, or rap (if they could sing, they would).
Movies. I built a home theater, and once in a blue moon I get to watch a movie. Here are some of my favorite DVDs.
Hiking and Camping. I get out whenever I can find good people to take along or go with.
Alpine Skiing. I've skied since I was seven, about 20 days a year.
Scuba Diving. I have a rescue certification through PADI . I am a member of Moss Bay Divers association. The Puget Sound has some of the best diving in the world, and I'll go out just about any time.
Mountain biking. Have you ever tried biking down Crystal Mountain during the summer?
Dancing. Salsa, Swing, Tango, Foxtrot, Waltz, Nightclub, Cha-cha, you name it! I recommend taking lessons at Orion Ballroom.
Golf. I took up golf in 1998. My handicap is around 25, but I'm working hard on it!
Travel. I went to Egypt in March of 2000. Patricia and I want to travel all over the world when we can. We vacationed in Turks & Caicos in May, 2001.
Parties. I like to have up to about 20 people over.
Cooking. I'm well known for my barbecues, but I like to cook indoors too, especially with Patricia.
Brewing beer and making wine. I do this at Northwest Brewwerks. I have developed nationally renowned recipes for ale and porter. I even plumbed the Kirkland house for beer during the renovation! I also make very good Sauvignon Blanc, Barolo, and Merlot.
I believe the Bible. This is the best research tool I've found: PC Study Bible. Find out about this incredible collection from Biblesoft. You can look at a verse in any version, then view it with the Interlinear Bible, which shows the original text before translation, along with the words in English. You can click on a word and see the definition in a number of concordances. You can search for that word in the Englishman's concordance, which shows everywhere that word was used in the Bible before translation. Looking at the context of the other usages, you can unfold the meaning of God's word.
